Former Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Prasad Ranasinghe has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) over allegations of obstructing an investigation.
Officials said the arrest was made following an inquiry conducted by the Bribery Commission into claims that Ranasinghe had interfered with or obstructed ongoing investigations. (Newswire)
