The National Transport Commission (NTC) has taken disciplinary action regarding the Monaragala–Colombo bus that endangered passengers’ lives by attempting to cross floodwaters in the Kumbukkana area.
According to the NTC, the owner and staff of the bus were summoned before the National Transport Commission on Wednesday (03 Dec).
Following the inquiry into their misconduct, the bus route permit has been suspended for two weeks.
In addition, the conductor and driver have been suspended from service for a period of one month. (Newswire)
