ICC T20 World Cup trophy to tour Sri Lanka from January 21–24

The ICC T20 World Cup trophy tour is set to begin in Sri Lanka from January 21 to 24, with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake expected to officially launch the tour.

During its stay in Sri Lanka, the trophy will be showcased at several key locations across the country, giving fans an opportunity to view the iconic silverware ahead of the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup.

The tour will include a stop at the Sri Lanka vs England ODI at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, allowing cricket fans attending the match to engage with the trophy.

In addition to Colombo, the ICC T20 World Cup trophy will travel to major cities including Kandy, Dambulla and Jaffna as part of the nationwide tour.

Sri Lanka is one of the host nations of the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by Sri Lanka and India. (Newswire)
