The Biodynamic Federation Demeter International has extended its support to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s initiative to create a Green Socio-Economy with Sustainable Solutions for Climate Change in Sri Lanka.
The Federation, which represents the biodynamic farming movement with 45 member organizations in 36 countries, expressed its support in a letter addressed to President Rajapaksa.
The Presidential Task Force is a great asset and an example to follow in the preservation of the planet and our health for generations to come, it said.
The Federation added that it particularly supports the transition from chemical farming to natural farming by using organic fertilizers and products instead of pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and herbicides that harm the environment. (NewsWire)
