Minister of Energy Kanchana Wijesekera has revealed details on the stock of fuel currently available in Sri Lanka.
Following is the breakdown of the petrol and diesel stocks as of 12.10 pm today, 30th May 2022.
Diesel – 14,433 MT
Super Diesel – 58 MT
92 Octane Petrol – 41,978 MT
95 Octane Petrol – 14, 041 MT
Jet A1 – 1, 621 MT
Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said another shipment of diesel is expected to arrive in Sri Lanka around 06.00 pm today.
He further said that refinery production has also commenced from today.
The Energy Minister also said that a minor technical issue has been reported at the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery.
He said the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) staff are working to fix the issue to restart the refinery.
Minister Wijesekara pointed out that the refinery has been non-operational for the last 03- months. (NewsWire)
