A total of 1,833,602 individuals in the Gampaha district are eligible to vote in the local government polls, the District Election Commissioner’s Office reported.
The Office stated that the voters are from 13 electoral sectors in the district and will elect 688 members to the 19 local government bodies of the Gampaha District.
As per the Electoral Register for 2022, a total of 1,833,602 individuals in the Gampaha district are eligible to vote in the local government election.
The District Election Commissioner’s Office stated that this was an increase of 109,293 voters in comparison to 2018. (NewsWire)
