WhatsApp is releasing an option to help admins manage their groups when they are away. The feature is called ‘Send for admin review’ and allows members of a group to send messages to admins for review.
This is according to WABetaInfo, a website that tracks news and updates related to WhatsApp.
How does ‘Send for admin review’ work?
To explain how the feature works, WABetaInfo shared this screenshot:
As seen above, this additional tool is available inside Group settings. Once activating it by moving the toggle, each participant will have the ability to send messages shared in the conversation to admins for review. The admins, in turn, will have the option to either delete the message, or take appropriate action, including removing the sender from the group.
The content that is to be reviewed will be within a new section in the group info screen. Also, one can send content for review by just opening the messaging options.
Availability
As per WABetaInfo, the Meta-owned messaging service is currently testing ‘Send for admin review’ with beta testers. It will be rolled out to more people over the coming days; to use it, one must install the latest WhatsApp beta for Android update from the Google Play Store. (Hindustan Times)
