Sri Lanka’s batting coach, Naveed Nawaz, provided the following update on Sri Lankan players recovering from injuries:
1. Kusal Janith Perera is recovering from concussion after being hit by a delivery in the last game. He practiced yesterday, and his participation in the Netherlands game will be decided after today’s practice session.
2. Matheesha Pathirana is not available for selection; he is still in the rehabilitation process. His future in the tournament will be decided in another couple of days after assessing the situation.
3. Angelo Mathews and Dushmantha Chameera will arrive in India today. Selectors will consider one of them for selection if Matheesha Pathirana gets ruled out of the tournament.
