A Gazette notification has been published announcing the Act concerning the establishment of the Commission for Truth, Unity and Reconciliation in Sri Lanka.
As per the Gazette, the Bill shall be known as the Commission for Truth, Unity and Reconciliation in Sri Lanka Act, No. of 2024.
It sets out the powers and functions of such a Commission; to provide for monitoring of the implementation of the recommendations of the Commission or Truth, Unity and Reconciliation in Sri Lanka, and to provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
