Former Northern Province Chief Minister C.V Wigneswaran has picked Ranil Wickremesinghe as the most suitable leader for the country at present.
Speaking to reporters after attending Parliament yesterday, MP Wigneswaran said even though it may not be suitable for his constituency, there was no other leader, than Ranil Wickremesinghe currently.
“I expected the President to address the Northern issue in his policy statement. But he did not. However, after the speech he spoke to me directly and addressed some issues, which I cannot divulge just yet,” he said.
MP Wigneswaran further said that among the present leaders, Ranil Wickremesinghe is a better leader whom he can pick as suitable for the Presidency. (NewsWire)
