A 37-year-old Russian national has died after falling ill while returning from visiting the ‘Punchi Siripada’ tourist attraction in Ella.
The Police stated that the man had visited the area along with his wife and child, and another Russian couple.
He is reported to have fallen ill while travelling in a three-wheeler and was pronounced dead upon reaching the hospital.
The body of the Russian man has been placed at the Badulla District Hospital, while the Ella Tourist Police is conducting investigations into the incident. (NewsWire)
