The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has announced that water supply will be temporarily suspended in Wellawatte and Pamankada areas for seven hours, from 10.00 pm tonight (06) until 5.00 am tomorrow (07), due to essential maintenance work.
The Water Board said the interruption is part of improvement activities under the Greater Colombo Water and Wastewater Management Investment Programme, which is currently being implemented.
Residents in the affected areas have been requested to store sufficient water in advance and to use the available supply sparingly during the suspension period.
The Water Board also expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to consumers as a result of the essential maintenance. (Newswire)
